mindful art session

Mindful Art Session is a warm and welcoming space where you can slow down, connect with others and explore your creativity — no pressure, no perfection, no experience required.

It’s less about producing ‘great art’ and more about giving yourself permission to pause, play and enjoy the process.

You’ll feel recharged and inspired.

Your creativity matters – use it!

Creativity isn’t just about making things — it’s a powerful tool for wellbeing, self-discovery and stress relief.

What to Expect

who’s running it

Hello, I’m Clare Barry. I'm a writer and creative facilitator based in Plumstead. Once upon a time, my creativity had melted into a puddle at the bottom of the career ladder. I had no time or headspace to think. Back pain, burnout and bereavements followed.

These days I help changemakers and communities across London through creative health workshops and events. My favourite things to do include messing about with inks, washi tape, torn paper and making zines. I created Mindful Art Session for people who want a fun, relaxing way to bring more creativity and connection to the every day. I hope you’ll join us.

Why Now?

Life can feel relentless — always busy, always noisy.

But stepping away to create, even for an hour or so, can restore your focus,
reset your energy and reconnect you to what matters.

Life can leave us feeling isolated or lonely at times.

This gentle gathering is your invitation to pause, breathe and create — with no pressure
to get it ‘right.’ Everyone is welcome at our friendly and inclusive community.

  • “ I found the session inspiring, rejuvenating and far more therapeutic than I had anticipated! I particularly enjoyed making my little book and thinking about the idea of self empathy.”

  • "Really lovely session. Delivered well in a relaxing environment. I needed this.”

    Community Outeach Officer,

  • “This will nurture your creativity for months to come. It embodies all that creativity is and should be: collaboration, fun, openness to learning and a willingness to follow sparks that emerge from all these things. Being in the company of brilliant, creative and generous participants was an added bonus and it certainly gave me real impetus."
