About Us

Urban Curiosity is a creative health consultancy in south-east London. We offer uplifting curiosity retreats and mindful tools for changemakers who want to make an impact without burning out.

Doing work that matters doesn’t have to come at the expense of mental health or wellbeing. Our retreats, coaching, training and tools help changemakers build energy, focus and resilience for the projects that matter most (and the challenges ahead).

We provide open enrolment for individuals and custom programmes for clients in the charity, HE and VCSE sectors, libraries, universities, ICIs and CSR/ESG teams at mission-driven companies.

OUR ETHOS

Mindful walking boosts creative wellbeing. And words have power - use yours!

Creative health is as important as physical and mental health at work and in life.

City life is fast. Curiosity is the antidote. It encourages empathy and builds connections.

MeET CLARE BARRY

Clare Barry (she/her)
Curiosity Coach, Writer & Creative Facilitator

Since 2014, I’ve guided hundreds of changemakers in rediscovering their sense of wonder, asking deeper questions and nurturing their creativity. My work offer people an invitation to see things differently and engage with their own curiosity in transformative ways.

I am the creator of the Urban Curiosity Walkshop and Wonder Lab, a creative coaching programme for changemakers. I make mindful tools and design uplifting curiosity retreats. I lead creative workshops for teams and participatory arts sessions for groups.

I write about creative leadership, digital mindfulness, wellbeing and work. My work and ideas have been published by or featured in publications like Stylist, Balance and Women’s Health, Vanity Fair and Psychologies.

For more than 15 years, I worked in executive education, organisational behaviour and philanthropic partnerships at nonprofits, London Business School, the LSE and the International Tennis Federation.

My work felt meaningful, especially during my time as director of partnerships, entrepreneurship and social change@lse. The problem was my creativity had melted into a puddle at the bottom of the career ladder.

Later, burnout, back surgery and bereavement forced me to find a different way to work and live. This I know: time, energy and attention are our most precious resources. How do you spend yours?
