THIS I KNOW:
a micro-memoir coursE

Daily Emails · Weekly Creative Check-in · Your own tiny book

A photograph. A place you used to live. Something your mum said. The ordinary moment when things changed.

This I Know is a 30-day online course to help you write a micro-memoir about a part of your life.

Not your whole life story. Just a chapter, a season or a story worth remembering.

15 minutes of writing a day. Short emails. Personal support from me.

And at the end? Your own tiny handmade book.

Something to keep for yourself. Or give to someone you love.

We start on 16 November. Will you join us?

YOUR STORIES MATTER

FIND THE EXTRAORDINARY
IN THE ORDINARY

A wartime childhood. A familiar place. The things that make us laugh. Sometimes the smallest details hold the stories we want to remember.

MAKING SENSE OF OUR LIVES

Our stories help us connect the dots, make sense of who we are and see familiar experiences in a new light. Writing them down gives us a chance to pause, reflect and discover what we might have overlooked.

SHARE WHAT MATTERS

An obituary tells us what someone achieved. A eulogy tells us how they lived. Our stories can help us understand each other, pass on wisdom and leave something personal with the people we love.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much time will I need?

The daily prompts are designed for around 15 minutes of writing. You can spend longer if you wish, but there's no expectation to produce a polished piece every day. If you miss a day you can pick up whenever you can.

Can I send Clare questions or writing?

Yes. Throughout the course, you're welcome to send questions, drafts, snippets of writing or moments when you feel stuck.

What kind of feedback will I receive?

I'll help you notice what's interesting in your writing, explore an idea and find a way forward.

Is this a therapeutic writing course?

This I Know offers space to explore memories and experiences through writing, but it isn't therapy or a substitute for therapeutic support.

What if I can't attend the weekly group check-in?

A short 2-pager with notes will be shared afterwards. No recording in order to support confidentiality and presence within the group.

Do you offer bursaries or payment plans?

A small number of bursary places and payment plans are available. If cost is a barrier, please get in touch.

What is your refund policy?
