Creative Walkshop for the Phoenix Road Project

As part of a wider placemaking and greening consultation for the Phoenix Road regeneration project, we invited local residents to walk with us. We didn’t want to gather data, but to listen. We led a creative and mindful walk during local partner Somers Town Community Association’s COP29 festival that gave people a voice in shaping the future of their neighbourhood and raised climate change awareness.

Impact

The conversation shifted from consultation to co-creation. Participants felt seen. The greening team at Camden Council received insights that can’t be gathered via surveys. We brought a little bit of fun and movement into a process often defined by noise.

  •  “People loved Clare’s walk. It also gave us a gentle way to raise awareness of Somers Town Community Association and The Living Centre’s services, and to start meaningful conversations around access to green space and what a thriving local area could look like.”
