HOW IT WORKS
-
We’ll start with a quick round of introductions and intentions for our writing day, then get down to writing until our first tea break. But if you need a break/coffee/walk outside of our scheduled breaks, then go for it! Rinse and repeat.
There are no scoreboards or pressure to hit word counts or write all day. This is a gentle, supportive retreat for anyone who wants time, headspace and encouragement to write. You’ll meet like-minded creative souls.
-
No. During the co-writing session we focus on our individual writing projects and priorities. There is no sharing or critiquing of our work.
-
The retreat takes place in Clare’s light and open flat on the modernist Vanbrugh Park Estate. It’s located in between Blackheath Standard and Greenwich Park.
Nearest stations are: Westcombe Park or Blackheath. Plenty of buses from Woolwich, Lewisham, New Cross and the tube at North Greenwich.
Free on-street parking available.
-
Partially: the venue is accessible by ramp from street but there is a small step over the threshold of the flat. The loo is not fully accessible.
-
Lunch isn’t included in the retreat price because there are great independent cafes, bakeries and M&S just five minutes down the road in Blackheath Standard.
Feel free to bring a packed or purchased lunch back to the flat to eat. Microwave and toaster are available.
Tea, coffee, biscuits and snacks are included in the retreat price.
