London’s Biggest Birthday Party
Spacehoppers, sausage dogs and cake at Smithfield 150.
We had sunshine and showers at London’s biggest birthday party: Smithfield 150 this bank holiday weekend. My favourite bits were seeing all the sausage dogs get ready for their parade, little kids going nuts on bright yellow spacehoppers and performances from the Girls Rock London community.
On Sunday I sent out my latest newsletter, Thoughtful Notes, and asked the Urban Curiosity community when they last did something for the first time. You can read it here.
Armed with my iPhone on the day and iMovie at home, I made a little film about the birthday party organised by Culture Mile. It’s the first time I’ve attempted this and I really enjoyed the process. (I did Xanthe Berkeley’s Make Films ecourse ages ago but never made a film until now.)
How was your weekend? What did you see? When was the last time you did something for the first time?
