Humankind (see the world in 4 minutes)
100 filmmakers, 100 countries and one goal.
Dan Mace is a white South African who brought together 100 filmmakers from 100 countries. Humankind is beautiful, heart-warming and thought-provoking. In the film Dan poses this question: who are you?
Then he challenges us.
“If you couldn’t start with a qualification, status or a job, what would you answer to that?” His question is exactly what I share in the first week of Writing the City. I had a total crisis of identity when I found myself unemployed a decade or so ago but it was a valuable lesson and the beginning of discovering the true answer to the question.
Another reminder we get in the film is this: “just as day moves into night, you’re growing old. Make change before it’s too late. The smallest gestures are where change begins, therefore make them great.”
What micro step will you take today?
