Words, clips and ideas worth your time, energy and attention this weekend.

Lego made from plant-based plastic. At last!

Alex Franzen writes about resisting the urge to numb out with digital devices when life gets hard. (And mentions how I inspired her to look up. Alex is one of the most beautiful, generous souls I know.)

Space for daydreaming where ‘visitors are instead invited to make paper lanterns on a long workbench, which are then hung from the ceiling. This repetitive task is intended to focus the brain and induce a state of mindfulness. It is mirrored in the repetitive nature of the pavilion’s slatted timber walls.’

Healthy, delicious and sustainable food of the future.

Playtime matters because we humans are ‘the most neotenous species, meaning we keep immature traits into adulthood.’
